Piston Compressor

Burton Corblin® heavy duty piston compressor packages are custom designed to match individual plant specifications and provide solutions for particular process requirements. The Burton Corblin® oil-free piston compressor operates over a wide range of pressures up to 250 bar (3600 psi), power up to 2,500kW (3,400hp) and inlet volumes up to 20,000m3/hr (11,600cfm). 

Our process piston compressor packages provide a complete separation of the product from the crankcase. Cylinders are lined for longevity and corrosion resistance. With the safeguards built into our process compressors, they are the best choice for dangerous or difficult gases. We incorporate features such as buffer-purged packing cases and/or double compartment distance pieces, water-cooled cylinders with removable dry liners, and materials engineered to meet any compression application.   Piston compressor packages offer control and containment of the process gas.
Modular design provides complete flexibility, allowing each application to be supplied with a compressor that matches its specifications. 
Piston compressors are designed to API 618 for process applications.
We have been developing compressors for special gas applications since 1956, and have provided more than 2500 piston compressor packages over the world. They operate in high specification applications such as gas handling for the food industry, and hazardous gas handling for the petrochemical and oil refining sectors.
Our piston compressor design incorporates the following features

• dry (non lube) compressor technology
• API 618, 4th edition compressor design
• pressure vessels in accordance with applicable international codes
• complete "plug and play" packages integrating control systems, gas regulation equipment, and gas treatment equipment

High volume and high pressure combination piston/diaphragm gas compressor.
This hybrid series combines high-volume a piston gas compressor with a high-pressure diaphragm compressors as the final stage.
Gas capacities up to 140scfm (225Nm3/hr) for atmospheric inlet pressure and pressures up to 6000psi (40MPa) can be attained. The hybrid series reflects the dedication to innovative design found in the Burton Corblin® line of gas compressors.
